With the Fat 60's Custom Shop, Fender offers a series of pickups with specifications from the 1959/61 era, or the equivalent of the Pure Vintage 57/62 overwound AWG 42, punchier, more powerful and brighter, on a coil fiber passed in a wax bath.

Loaded Pickguard Fender Stratocaster 1962 celluloid/tortoise

American Vintage 1962 Fender Stratocaster pickguard assembled with Fat 60's custom shop pickups. Fender 62 USA tortoise 11-hole 4-ply pickguard with aluminum insulation plate, aged white pickup covers and buttons, modified assembly with 300K vintage volume, 250K audio/log for tones, 1962 period replica ceramic capacitor, treble ceramic bleed/180Kohms.

• 4-ply 2.2mm thick "tortoise" tortoiseshell pickguard compatible with all vintage USA /Mexico/Japan Strat bodies 11 holes type 1962 (60's models), neck pocket width 56mm;
• Fender Custom Shop FAT 60's Alnico 2 pickups, waxed "wax pot" finish, black coil and 42AWG waxed copper winding wire, vintage wire wiring with "push-back" waxed cotton sheath, middle pickup reverse polarity RW/RP;
  
• The punchy sound of the classic vintage strat of the more powerful 1961/63 transition style: Clear, brilliant, round and precise treble, very good attack, slamming bass in clear or crunchy sound, bright and soft mid-high at the same time, sound close to the famous clean sounds of John Mayer with his Big Dipper;
• Electronics volume CTS 300KB, tone 250KA, ceramic capacitors repliqua 1962 type .1uf/50V, treble bleed (.001uf/150K), general volume, tone 1 for neck pickup , tone 2 for middle pickup , bridge is not connected to the tone circuit.
